I was born in the heartland of Texas but grew up mostly as a missionary kid in southern Mexico graduating high school at the American School Foundation in Mexico City. I returned home to get an engineering degree from Texas Tech, a couple of masters degrees and a doctorate. Along the way, the Lord has allowed me a bunch of life and ministry experience.
I am what you might call an adult 3rd culture kid. I speak Spanish and English fluently, am conversational in American Sign Language and can read French and Portuguese. God entrusted me with the start of 4 churches and I have served on the team of another. Through the years, I have had the honor of assessing, training and coaching over 200 church planters from people groups all over the globe. This has allowed me to be pretty good at missiology, understanding various worldviews and grasping cross cultural principles for Kingdom work.
